VegetarianismVegetarianism is becoming increasingly more popular today as more people become health-conscious. Vegetarians emphasize the intake of vegetables, fruits and grains. We know that we in the United States are some of the most overfed in the world. Yet, many of us are malnourished and unhealthy. Healthcare costs are rising at an abnormal rate. More and more commercials on television and other media are advertising medications for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, diabetes and cancer treatment.
A vegetarian-oriented diet provides us with the vitamins, minerals, and fiber required to help keep us healthy. Vegetarians might be vegan. Vegan-vegetarians do not consume any products that come from animals including eggs, milk, butter or cheese. Lacto-vegetarians might consume dairy products although the focus is on vegetables, fruits and grains. Semi-vegetarians might consume a limited amount of fish and/or chicken.
Grandma’s Healthy Food caters and delivers prepared vegetarian/vegan food for holidays, anniversaries, celebrations, movie production companies, etc.
