Brown rice is a nutritious grain with adequate fiber for optimal intestinal functioning. White rice is brown rice which has been processed (stripped of its nutritious hull) and bleached. Since much of the natural nutrition is removed during this processing, man-made vitamins and minerals are then added, thus it is refined. Much of the fiber is also removed from white rice. Because at Grandma’s Healthy Food we are concerned about your health, we only use rice which has not been processed.
